Description: The Jigsaw II model is a cooperative learning strategy in which individual students become experts on subsections of a topic and teach that subsection to their fellow students.
Reflection on in-class presentation: My classmates and I were presented an example of the Jigsaw II model during the reading/language arts portion of the day in an elementary classroom. In this example the second grade students were asked to read a short story and then they were instructed to help each other fill out the worksheet they were given prior to reading. The students were asked to fill out the worksheets so they could better understand the sections their classmates read and to get a full understanding of the story.
